When I was young we used to answer the phone "Joe's Bar n Grill" to actually see a places named this was epic. When we walked in I didn't know if we should be more dressed up or wear hunting attire. Almost like a husband saying he wants to open a bar an grill and the wife said, you need to add some class. Lol. Taxidermy fowl and heads lined the walls and hung from the ceiling. Then there were cloth tablecloths and cloth napkins and a cute crackers and cream cheese ball on the table. Enough about decor. We had Mediterranean chicken and evening special Atlantic salmon wild rice. Very good. Complimentary warm loaf of bread, yum. You will pay more than average grill prices but it was good. Our server was busy but thorough. Small parking lot, reservations are a good option.

This place never disappoints! The Mediterranean chicken is so flavorful but light. The steak is perfection and the wait staff is the mix of sweet and spicy!

Try to sit out back where you don't need a reservation. Great view with a great server named Hailey. We had a reservation in the porch out back but walking thru it was so hot - outside so much better. Food was great. Chicken Joe's was the best meal my dad said he had in nearly 20 years in the area. My salmon (a special) was great. Huge salad options too. A cool spot all around.

This was our final stop on our vacation and probably the dinner winner of the week. VERY close to where we were staying, so personal extra points on that. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended if not necessary. It was a nice night out, so we got to eat out on the open porch which was very nice. Service was above and beyond. Everyone was attentive, courteous and knowledgeable. Top notch through and through. To start, we went with the ribs. The sauce on them was excellent. A citrus base with a kick. Meat was tender and almost at the point of falling off the bone. Excellent cooking time. For dinner I got the special; Mahi Mahi Neptune which was Mahi Mahi with shrimp and scallops. Everything was fresh and perfectly done. My wife and the kid got steaks (filets). My pictures of those didn't come out well but I tried my wife's and it was very good. Her's came with a spicy sauce to dip it in and it complemented the tender filet perfectly. This is a must try if in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Joes is an incredible restaurant in Myrtle Beach! Their happy hour really shines when it comes to value. I cannot recommend any of the affiliated places more. Joes, Hamburger Joes, Native Joes they are all special and amazing in unique ways!

If you're looking for a good locally owned spot in Myrtle beach check out Joe's bar and grill. Located in an old house alongside the marsh, Joe's provides a laid back atmosphere to enjoy dinner. Our waiter was fantastic and brought us fresh bread along with a cream cheese/vegetable dip for starters which was truly addictive. I chose the steak au poivre which was an 8oz filet mignon coated with coarsely cracked peppercorns & topped with a brandy & Dijon cream sauce. The steak was cooked to my liking and I could have eaten the cream sauce alone it was so good. When you order a steak it comes with your choice of salad alongside their red potatoes. While I enjoyed these, I do wish there were more options in choosing sides for the price point. I also enjoyed one of their summer drinks alongside their lemon blueberry cheesecake which rounded off my meal.

Joe's Bar & Grill -- what an unassuming name for a truly excellent restaurant! It's tucked away and easy to miss, but please, do yourself a favor: ignore the tourist traps and the chains, and head to Joe's! The restaurant is very rustic and has a hunting-lodge feel. This vibe carries over into the food: the plates are hearty portions of meat and seafood with great flavor, plated simply without fuss. In fact, I'll be blunter: the plates are nothing special to look at, even a smidge messy, but you genuinely don't need to gild the lily when the food is this good. I got the Steak Au Poivre, an 8oz filet mignon coated with a creamy brandy and mustard sauce. It was genuinely magnificent. The steak was tender and super high quality, and the mustard gave the brandy sauce a welcome complexity. I normally might not finish a whole steak, but I polished off the whole thing with gusto. The steak came with roasted potatoes, which were buttery, rosemary-flecked perfection. My group also got the Prime Rib, the Shrimp and Scallop Alfredo, and the Mediterranean Grilled Chicken. The latter is a twin chicken breast seasoned with lemon pepper and garlic, grilled and served over linguine with kalamata olives, tomatoes, scallions, lemon zest, red pepper sauce, feta crumbles, extra virgin olive oil. Everyone absolutely loved what they got! I also want to give hearts and stars to the Old Fashioned, which might be one of the best I've ever had. You will DEFINITELY want a reservation! It was very busy when we went, and it looked like a long wait for walk-ups.

Once again, we return to the scene of Racoon Cove. It simply doesn't get much better than this IMO for casual upscale dining in NMB. We had a group of five with me, Ron, Dennis, Joanna and Reece III. It was a bit of a challenge snagging a table for 5 but the Staff here is very accommodating and helped us get a big table on Racoon Cove I had the 8 ounce filet which was absolutely delicious and cooked just perfectly. Everyone in our group seemed please with their choice, especially Ron who ordered the rib sampler which would rival any full order of ribs at any other restaurant. The Racoon Cove is the epitome of upscale casual where you can relax in the semi-outdoors of the porch and still have access to great food & beverage. It's always a crowd pleaser which I highly recommend. You'll find parking a challenge and if you get there by 430p, you'll have a better chance at a table.
